The British School at Rome’s interest in the site of Falerii Novi continues to this day. From 2021, the BSR has been excavating at the site alongside teams from the universities of Harvard and Toronto, with permission from the Italian Ministry of Culture and Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per la Provincia di Viterbo e l'Etruria Meridionale. The current excavation is focused on the central areas of Falerii Novi rather than its walls (pictured), but the systematic study is revealing new evidence and insights into this once thriving ancient Roman city.
